This is an 1896 Fairbanks Electric rim with a reproduction 5-string neck. The neck is figured maple with an excellent heel carving. The engraved inlays are also excellent. However, the maker is unknown. This a visually striking banjo that plays beautifully and sounds great. The 10 1/2" head and 26" scale is a preferred size among many old time banjo players.
