This is an unusual dulcimer from the southeastern Ohio/West Virginia area. It has painted red binding and 4 red flowers painted beside the sound hole hearts. There is a small heart in strum cavity and small round hole in the fingerboard between 2nd and 3rd frets. The hand carved keys appear to be original.
